Kochi, December 14, 2024: Kochi Marriott Hotel kicked off the festive season with a grand Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, an event that also marked the hotel’s journey of a decade in delivering exceptional hospitality. Opened on December 21, 2014, the hotel has become a symbol of luxury and community engagement in Kochi.
The chief guest for the evening was popular actress and model Miya George. The event featured vibrant carol singing and an energetic flash mob by students of Rajagiri.
In alignment with its mission to promote sustainability and community welfare, the event had a stall of ‘Re Threads’, an initiative by Rajagiri College in collaboration with Kochi Metro Rail Limited and Kochi Marriott Hotel. This unique program focuses on reviving and reusing fabrics, transforming them into meaningful attire and the proceeds will go towards installing sanitary dispensaries and water purifiers in government schools and smart boards in government colleges.
To further commemorate its 10-year journey, the hotel announced a 10-day food festival celebrating diverse world cuisines.

The ceremony was attended by Abhilash Matam (Director of Operations), Sooraj Nair (Director of Sales & Marketing), Syamjith Venugopal (Assistant Director of Food & Beverages), and Nicky Esther John (Cluster Marcom Manager), along with influencers, HNIs, and long-stay guests.
